Announcing Eirlys Golden Retrievers Summer/Fall 2014 Litter
This litter is being carefully bred with the aim of providing ideal family and sporting companions and future assistance dogs. Selection for balanced, loving and relaxed temperament is key.
We employ thoughtful and judicious scrutiny to stud dog selection. In addition to researching the male's individual character and conformation, we carefully study his lineage and the quality of his puppies produced to date. Further, we take time to build a relationship with the stud dog owner and learn about the stud dog's lifestyle to assure that we are promoting conscientious care and breeding practices.
We are thrilled with the opportunity to mate Luna with Brick. Brick is highly trainable and hard working. In addition, we enjoy hearing from his owner, Elizabeth, that Brick is equally at home hunting in the field as he is running errands and visiting friends around town.
Luna is a joy to be around as she is sensible and affectionate. Luna is a wise old soul in a lovely golden body. She is a sporting and gentle house companion and has exceptionally thoughtful and uncomplicated dog social skills. She will be a wonderful influence on her puppies. You can see more of Luna on the "Our Dogs" page.

Luna and I traveled to Minnesota the first week of August 2014 to meet Brick and his owner Elizabeth Howell. Elizabeth was an amazing host and the four of us enjoyed leisurely summer walks, good food and swims in the creek. Thank you Elizabeth for your wonderful hospitality! Brick is a driven yet patient stud dog who is a joy to be around. He has a wonderful character and everything went as planned. The litter is anticipated October 4, 2014.
Brick and Luna got along with ease. I love Brick's gentle, earnest expression. In addition we enjoyed an evening with Suzy and Marge and Brick's dam, Prudence, and litter sister, Mabel. It was a treat to meet the ladies of Brick's maternal lineage.
Luna in her 5th week of pregnancy - just starting to fill out.
Luna relaxing in her last week of pregnancy. She is still enjoying walks and sun bathing in the garden.
Luna's litter by Brick arrived October 3, 2014. Four males and three females; all strong and robust.
